Ecotone

The literary magazine that seeks to reimagine place. Work from Ecotone is reprinted in the Pushcart Prize anthology, Best American Poetry, Best American Science and Nature Writing, Best American Short Stories, and more. The magazine is the winner of CLMP’s 2023 Firecracker Award for Magazines/General Excellence, and of the 2022 AWP Small Press Publisher Award. Ecotone was a finalist for the 2021 Whiting Literary Magazine Awards, the 2021 ASME Award for Fiction, and the 2018 and 2020 Firecracker Awards. It has won support from the National Endowment for the Arts each time it has applied since 2016, receiving six awards, most recently in 2023. Bell has edited the magazine since 2013, and served as art director from 2018 to 2021.
